Exploring Mistreatment of Obstetrics and Gynecology Residents in the Clinical Learning Environment

This study aimed to assess the prevalence, sources, and locations of perceived mistreatment among obstetrics and gynecology residents. The findings revealed that over half of the residents reported experiencing mistreatment, primarily verbal or emotional abuse, with labor and delivery identified as the most common setting and specific demographic groups facing higher rates of mistreatment. The authors emphasize the need for interventions to foster a respectful work environment conducive to effective learning and patient care.
