Comparing the TCu380A and a small Nova-T copper IUD: secondary analysis of discontinuation probabilities, bleeding outcomes and satisfaction in nulliparous participants from a 3-year randomized trial
Listen to this summary
The authors aimed to compare the discontinuation rates, satisfaction, and bleeding outcomes between two copper IUDs, the NTCu380-Mini and TCu380A, in a nulliparous population over three years. Results indicated that NTCu380-Mini users experienced lower rates of discontinuation due to bleeding and pain, as well as higher satisfaction compared to TCu380A users. These findings suggest that the NTCu380-Mini may offer significant advantages for nulliparous individuals seeking non-hormonal contraception.
