Durable response to pembrolizumab plus axitinib in platinum-resistant ovarian clear cell carcinoma: A case report

Listen to this summary

This case report investigates the efficacy of combining pembrolizumab, an immune checkpoint inhibitor, with axitinib, a VEGFR-targeted therapy, in treating a 39-year-old woman with platinum-resistant ovarian clear cell carcinoma (OCCC). The authors aim to explore the potential of this combination to achieve durable disease control in a setting where treatment options are limited. The patient demonstrated sustained radiographic improvement for approximately 23 months, suggesting that this therapeutic strategy may offer meaningful benefits for selected patients with OCCC.
