Phase 1-3 cross-cultural development and pre-testing of the European Organisation of Research and Treatment of Cancer Vulva cancer questionnaire module (EORTC QLQ- VU)

Listen to this summary

The authors aimed to develop and pre-test a quality of life measure specifically for vulva cancer patients to complement the existing EORTC QLQ-C30 questionnaire, ensuring its content validity and cross-cultural adaptability. Through a systematic literature review and input from patients and healthcare professionals, they identified key quality of life issues, resulting in a provisional questionnaire (EORTC QLQ-VU) consisting of 36 items, which underwent pre-testing across multiple European centers. The findings indicated high relevance and applicability of the questionnaire, with further psychometric validation planned.
