Clitoral reconstructive surgery for patients with vulvar carcinoma

The authors aim to evaluate the feasibility and outcomes of clitoral reconstructive surgery in patients with vulvar carcinoma, particularly after oncological excision. They describe a surgical technique that preserves neurovascular integrity and restores clitoral anatomy, reporting a high rate of postoperative clitoral sensation and orgasm (88.9%) with a low complication rate (11.1%). The study suggests that clitoral reconstruction can mitigate psychosexual morbidity while maintaining oncological safety, warranting further prospective evaluation.
