Efficacy and safety of human albumin combined with furosemide in acute decompensated heart failure with hepatic dysfunction

Listen to this summary

This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of intravenous (IV) albumin combined with furosemide in patients with acute decompensated heart failure (ADHF) and hepatic dysfunction. The results indicated that the combination therapy led to greater improvements in patients' subjective symptoms of congestion and a smaller increase in creatinine levels compared to furosemide alone, suggesting that IV albumin may enhance treatment outcomes in this patient population.
