The relationship between different hormone receptors in breast cancer patients and ovarian response before chemotherapy; a retrospective cohort study
Listen to this summary
This study aimed to explore the relationship between hormone receptor status (ER, PR, HER2, and TNBC) in breast cancer patients and their ovarian response prior to chemotherapy, specifically focusing on the outcomes of oocyte retrieval during fertility preservation. The results indicated that while hormone receptor status did not significantly impact overall ovarian stimulation outcomes, HER2+ patients had a higher number of dominant follicles, though this did not translate into a significant difference in oocyte count or maturity. Ultimately, the findings suggest that common prognostic factors in breast cancer do not influence ovarian stimulation responses.
