Response to progestin-based therapy in endometrial intraepithelial neoplasia: An exploratory biomarker study

Listen to this summary

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between baseline tissue biomarker expression and the response to progestin-based therapy in premenopausal women with endometrial intraepithelial neoplasia (EIN). The authors found that lower baseline expression of progesterone receptor A (PR-A) was associated with treatment resistance, while a pre-treatment PR-A:PR-B ratio of ≤ 1 indicated a higher likelihood of progesterone resistance. These findings suggest that progesterone receptor expression patterns may help predict treatment outcomes, highlighting the need for further validation in larger studies.
