Vasopressors or Fluids in Early Septic Shock

Listen to this summary

The study aimed to determine whether early vasopressor therapy with restricted fluid volumes or higher fluid volumes with later vasopressor therapy is more effective for adult patients in septic shock. The results showed no significant difference in the number of days alive and out of the hospital at 90 days between the two approaches, although the vasopressor group experienced fewer cases of pulmonary edema. Overall, both strategies yielded similar outcomes in terms of hospital recovery.
