Home-based exercise training in boys with Duchenne muscular dystrophy: A 12-month intervention study

Listen to this summary

This study aimed to evaluate the effects of a home-based exercise program on physical activity levels, physical function, and quality of life in boys with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) over one year. The results showed that the intervention group experienced increases in light and moderate-to-vigorous physical activity, while maintaining stability in other functional measures and achieving a slight improvement in quality of life, indicating that such exercise programs are both beneficial and safe for this population.
