Abdominal Wall Elevation for Pneumoperitoneum in Laparoscopic Gynecologic Surgery: A Retrospective Comparative Study of Experienced and Trainee Surgeons

Listen to this summary

The authors aimed to evaluate the success rate and complication incidence of pneumoperitoneum induction using an abdominal wall elevation device by surgeons with varying levels of experience in laparoscopic gynecologic surgery. The study found that both experienced surgeons and trainees achieved high success rates (100% and 95%, respectively) without major complications, indicating that the LevaLap 1.0 device is effective and safe for use by less experienced surgeons under supervision.
