Cephalic Alar Base Malposition: Recognition and Correction with an Advancement Flap

This study aims to address the underrecognized condition of cephalic alar base malposition (CABM) and its correction through a novel surgical technique using a full-thickness advancement flap. The authors demonstrate that this method effectively repositions the alar base, improving patient satisfaction and maintaining nasal aesthetics, while reporting low complication rates. The findings highlight the importance of vertical positioning in achieving nasal base harmony.
