Radiofrequency Ablation for Interdigital Neuroma: Moderate 2-Year Outcomes and Surgical Conversion Rate

This study aimed to evaluate the midterm clinical outcomes of radiofrequency ablation (RFA) for treating interdigital neuroma, specifically assessing pain relief, functional improvement, and the need for subsequent surgery. The results indicated that 65.2% of patients experienced a clinically meaningful reduction in pain, and significant improvements in function were noted; however, 27% ultimately required surgical intervention. The authors conclude that while RFA can provide moderate benefits, careful patient selection and realistic expectations are essential.
