Association of Angiotensin Receptor Neprilysin Inhibitors Duration with Latent Remodeling Following Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator Implantation
Listen to this summary
This study aimed to investigate the relationship between the duration of angiotensin receptor neprilysin inhibitor (ARNI) therapy prior to implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) implantation and latent left ventricular reverse remodeling (LVRR) in patients with nonischemic dilated cardiomyopathy (NIDCM). The findings indicated that shorter durations from heart failure diagnosis and ARNI initiation to ICD implantation were independently associated with a higher likelihood of latent LVRR, suggesting the importance of adequate guideline-directed medical therapy for optimizing cardiac remodeling while managing arrhythmic risks.
