Efficacy and safety of aselective laser device to create centred capsulotomies in white intumescent cataracts: international multicentre study (LC-WIC study)

Listen to this summary

The study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of a selective laser device for creating centered anterior capsulotomies in eyes with white intumescent cataracts. The results demonstrated successful capsulotomy creation without intraoperative complications, with significant improvement in visual acuity observed postoperatively. These findings suggest that selective laser capsulotomy is a precise and safe method for this specific cataract type.
