Long-Term Outcomes of Two-port Non-vitrectomy Endolaser Therapy in Moderate-to-severe Stage 3A Coats Disease

Listen to this summary

The authors aimed to evaluate the long-term outcomes of two-port non-vitrectomy endolaser therapy (TPNVE) in patients with moderate-to-severe stage 3A Coats disease. The study found that TPNVE achieved anatomic success in all treated eyes, with a median of two treatment sessions required, and highlighted the occurrence of complications such as cataracts and vitreoretinal fibrosis. Notably, approximately half of the eyes with an extent of exudative retinal detachment of at least 4 clock hours achieved success after a single treatment session.
