The authors aimed to investigate ethnic differences in the presentation patterns of Type 3 macular neovascularization (T3 MNV) associated with age-related macular degeneration in Caucasian and Asian populations. Their findings revealed that Asian patients presented at a younger age with T3 MNV lesions located closer to the foveal center compared to Caucasians, while also showing a lower prevalence of reticular pseudodrusen. These results indicate both shared and distinct characteristics in T3 MNV presentation across ethnicities, suggesting variations in contributing factors.
