Beyond UTI: Chronic Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms as a Manifestation of Genitourinary Tuberculosis: Case Series with Review of Literature

The authors investigate the underdiagnosis of genitourinary tuberculosis (GUTB) as a cause of chronic lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) in women, particularly in TB-endemic regions. Through a case series of seven female patients, they highlight the clinical profiles, diagnostic challenges, and treatment outcomes, emphasizing the importance of urine AFB testing and imaging for timely diagnosis and management.
