Malignant transformation of a testosterone-secreting ovarian steroid cell tumor: a case report

This case report investigates the malignant transformation of a testosterone-secreting ovarian steroid cell tumor (SCT-NOS) in a 41-year-old woman, initially presenting with benign features but later developing malignant characteristics after three years. The authors aim to highlight the potential for malignant recurrence in SCT-NOS, the associated molecular alterations, and the challenges in managing such cases despite surgical and chemotherapeutic interventions.
