Generative Artificial Intelligence for Postoperative Parameters Prediction in Implantable Collamer Lens Surgery

Listen to this summary

The authors aimed to determine whether generative artificial intelligence could accurately predict multiple postoperative parameters following implantable collamer lens (ICL) surgery using preoperative anterior segment optical coherence tomography (AS-OCT) images. Their study, involving a large dataset of patients, found that the AI model, ICL-GAN, demonstrated strong correlations between predicted and actual postoperative values for parameters such as vault, AOD500, and TIA500. These results suggest that generative AI can effectively assist in forecasting surgical outcomes in ICL procedures.
