Use of Bronchoscopic Cryobiopsy in Evaluating Interstitial Lung Disease: Radiologic Predictors of Diagnostic Yield and Safety

Listen to this summary

The authors aimed to identify radiologic CT predictors that could enhance the diagnostic yield and reduce complications associated with transbronchial lung cryobiopsy (TBCB) in patients with interstitial lung disease (ILD). Their findings revealed that radiologic honeycombing negatively impacted histopathologic yield, while better pulmonary function metrics were linked to improved outcomes. These insights may assist in refining patient selection and procedural strategies for TBCB.
