Cultural Adaptation and Validation of the Empathy Circle in Dementia Care for Older Adults

The authors aimed to culturally adapt and validate the Empathy Circle (EC) intervention for dementia care in Brazil. Using a modified Delphi technique with expert panels, they assessed content validity and found that the EC achieved a high content validity index of 96%, indicating strong expert agreement and positive feedback from participants regarding emotional support and empathy. The study concludes that the EC is a culturally valid and effective psychosocial tool for enhancing empathy in dementia care settings.
