The Long-Term Effectiveness of Fractional CO2 Laser in Stress Urinary Incontinence: A Two-Year Follow-Up Study

Listen to this summary

This study investigates the long-term effectiveness of fractional CO2 laser therapy for treating stress urinary incontinence (SUI) over a two-year follow-up period. The results indicate significant and sustained improvements in SUI symptoms, sexual function, and overall patient satisfaction, with most benefits peaking at 4-6 weeks and remaining above baseline levels at one and two years, despite a slight decline in the second year. The findings support fractional CO2 laser therapy as a viable, minimally invasive treatment option for SUI.
