Rapid Restoration: Suture Stabilization of the Central Facial Landmarks

The authors investigate whether a simultaneous suture-based "rapid restoration" (RR) technique can improve facial symmetry in patients with flaccid facial paralysis (FFP) during the early postoperative period. Their results indicate that patients who underwent RR experienced significant improvements in nasolabial fold angle, upper lip slope, and oral commissure height compared to those who only received dynamic reanimation, suggesting that RR effectively reduces asymmetry while waiting for facial function to be restored.
