Effect of Vutrisiran According to Baseline Tafamidis Use in Transthyretin Amyloidosis With Cardiomyopathy: Insights From HELIOS-B

The authors aimed to evaluate whether the treatment effects of vutrisiran, an RNA interference therapeutic, differ based on baseline use of tafamidis in patients with transthyretin amyloidosis and cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM) from the HELIOS-B study. Their findings indicated that while the treatment effects of vutrisiran were consistent across patients with and without baseline tafamidis use, the effect sizes were generally smaller in those receiving tafamidis, highlighting the need for further research on combination therapies in this population.
