Lasers and Acquired Melanocytic Nevi: A Systematic Review
Listen to this summary
The authors aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of various laser treatments for the removal of acquired melanocytic nevi (AMN). Their systematic review of 20 studies found that combinations of Er:YAG with LP Alexandrite or QS Nd:YAG lasers yielded the highest rates of lesion clearance, with complete response rates reaching up to 100% in certain cases. Overall, the findings suggest that specific laser combinations are particularly effective for AMN removal.
